A multiple car pile-up on westbound 60 Hwy, between National and Glenstone, occurred around 9:45pm tonight, April 24th, 2012. Sources say up to 8 cars were involved in the collision, and 8 total passengers may have required medical attention.

With a planned completion time of Fall 2012, road construction continually progresses around the highways 60/65 interchange. End results will be safer roads that are easier to navigate.

Springfield area residents who commute on these highways are encouraged to take heightened safety precautions when driving. With lines moved and routes re-directed every day, drivers never know what changes to expect when approaching the construction zone.
