Overnight Plane Crash Near Willard, Missouri

Willard, MO – At approximately 12:34 a.m. this morning small to medium sized plane crashed in a field north of Willard, Missouri near the intersection of Farm Road 123 and Farm Road 81. Witnesses to the overnight plane crash reported hearing a large explosion and then shortly there after, witnesses report reported a field near 7887 Farm Road 81 to be in flames. Emergency crews on scene described the field as “being littered with debris” and at approximately 1:05 a.m., a fire official on scene told EMS crews to “return to service” as there were apparently “no surivors.” Ash Grove and Willard Fire were on scene as well as a State Trooper, deputies from Greene County Sheriff’s Department as well as EMT’s from Cox and St. John’s. Comment could not be obtained at this time from officials from F.A.A, N.T.S.B or Springfield Branson National Airport.
