Local Ozarks Exclusive Interview

Springfield Missouri’s 1st Annual Center City Marketplace.  Join us at Mother’s backyard (behind Mother’s Brewing Company). When? This Saturday, August 25th,  2012 from 2pm-8pm.

Come see what Downtown and Historic C-Street (Commercial Street) businesses are up to. Partake in shopping, drinks, food and fun – all products of downtown Springfield, the lifestyle and events mecca of the Ozarks.

Mother’s yard will be filled with vendors from center city shops and boutiques, offering locals a once-in-a-year opportunity to peruse a mulititude of neighborhood business in one location. Make your day with products from Nomad, 5 Pound Apparel, Modern Society, DCX (Downtown Clothing Exchange), RSVPaint, Aura Face + Body, and many more. (For more details on participating vendors, click here).

To top it off, marketplace-goers will absorb local sounds from popular Ozarks bands such as Troy, The Western Paradise, Bella Donna and Johan Collins of Black Box Revue.

What would Mother’s backyard be without cold drinks from Mother’s Brewing Company? The lovely folks at Mother’s will be serving their cold craft beer to patrons of the Center City Marketplace, keeping spirits bright on this hot August night.

Proceeds from the Center City Marketplace go to The Kitchen, Inc., a non-profit local group that reaches out to the poor through volunteer services. The Kitchen, Inc. has a food pantry, Rare Breed Youth Services and the Missouri Hotel, where proceeds of the Marketplace will go to help recover from the fire in January of this year.

Music, fashion, food and fun are the main attractions for the biggest event of the season in downtown Springfield. Bring your friends and family for endless fun and laughter, and feel guilt-free knowing every dollar spent goes to those in need.
