The Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s DogFest returns Saturday Sept. 22, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Chesterfield Park, 2511 W. Republic Road. Everyone, including the family dog, is invited to enjoy a day of free fun and activities, to visit the Canine Vendor Village and to watch the highly entertaining 8th Annual Dachshund Dash.

Heats take place throughout the day, culminating with the Best of the Best and Best of the Worst races around 2 p.m.

The registration deadline for the Dachshund Dash has been extended to Monday, Sept. 17. Race registration is $15 and is limited to, yes, Dachshunds. All proceeds benefit Cruse Dog Park. All other activities are free.
